What is ICE?

ICE, also known as Innovation Challenge for Entrepreneurs, is a free, virtual competition on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. It is open to all university students and recent graduates – no matter what subject you study or how tech savvy you are.

What you need to do

Either in a team or on your own, you need to come up with one idea that addresses a real-world problem statement, focused on Logistics and Transportation. Your idea should aim to provide a creative and novel project or business plan to address the selected problem statement. You should focus on how your idea will immediately impact the issue you choose, and the business strategy which will bring it to life.

What you need to submit

For Phase One, you must create a business model canvas on your idea ready to be submitted for judging, we suggest you record a video to highlight the business idea, although this is not mandatory. You should cover the points below:

  • What your idea is - as much detail as possible

  • How does it address the problem outlined in the problem statement that you have selected?

  • What resources and timeline do you need for your idea?

  • How is your idea different from other solutions?

Is ICE 2026 a global hackathon? Who can participate in ICE 2026?
Yes, ICE 2026 is a global hackathon bringing together participants from various countries to collaborate and develop impactful ideas.

To be eligible for this hackathon you must:

  • Be in a team of one to four participants
  • Be a current university student or a recent graduate (6 months max)
  • read and accept the terms and conditions of this hackathon

If you are found to have broken these terms and conditions, you will be forfeited from this event, and will not be eligible for any awards given.

What are the dates for ICE 2026?
The hackathon will be held between March 5th and March 20th 2026.

Is ICE 2026 conducted online?
Yes. The competition will be completely virtual giving you an opportunity to take part in a global competition on an international platform all from the comfort of your own home.

What are the prizes for the winners?
The eligible participants will be getting a certificate. Further prizes will be announced.

Is it free to participate? What do I need?
Yes - participation is entirely free. All you will need is a computer/laptop and a half-decent internet connection.

How do I join a team, or form a new one?
When registering to your chosen track, you will have 3 options:

  • Create a team: The platform will form a new team with you as the first member and prompt you to enter a team name. When you enter your new team’s ProjectStudio, you can enter the email IDs of other members you would like to invite to your team (you can invite any eligible person from any school). Alternatively, you may opt to open your team for other people to join in using the ‘Private/Public’ toggle.
  • Join a team: Join other students in an existing team (rather than forming your team) if you so prefer. This is a great way to meet new people!

How many people can I have on my team?
You can either participate individually or form a team with up to 4 members.

Will we get help? What happens if we get stuck?
Of course. ProjectSet team members will be able to assist you throughout the hackathon process. If you get stuck, drop us an email at support@projectset.com. We will also be hosting a drop-in help session during the hackathon to assist you with anything you need!

Can I resubmit my project after submitting it once?
Yes. You can resubmit your project anytime and as many times until the submission deadline. Your output will not be reviewed or evaluated by judges until the deadline has passed.

What if I have more questions?
Please ask away! You can send questions at any time to support@projectset.com - if you make the subject title of your email ‘ICE 2026 Student Quiery’ then we can get back to you even sooner.
