- Is Anveshan conducted online, offline or a hybrid program?
Anveshan is a hybrid program. The initial stages of the program is online – from registration to team formation, collaboration on ideas and the first round of evaluation. After the first round of evaluation, the top 60 teams (10 teams from each track) will be invited to participate in an in-person convention, although participants will also have the option to join virtually. Anveshan is growing its digital (online) presence to extent the opportunity to more students, reduce any disruption to their academic commitments and enable international collaboration.
- What are the prizes for the winners?
The top teams from each track will win attractive cash prizes and certificates. In additional the overall winner (across all tracks) will be awarded a special cash prize and a gold medal. All participants in the final round will win a Certificate. Watch this space for more details.
- Is it free to participate? What do I need?
Yes - participation is entirely free. All you will need is a computer/ laptop and a half-decent internet connection.
- How do I form my team?
You will have the option to form your team when you register. Simply follow the prompts and select “Form your team”. The platform will form a new team with you as the first member and prompt you to enter a team name (enter your project title here) as well as email ids of other members you would like to invite to your team (you can invite any eligible person from any university). Alternatively, you may opt to open up your team for other people to join in.
You will also have the option to join other students in an existing team (rather than forming your team) if you so prefer.
- Who can I form a team with?
You can form a team with eligible students from your university or other universities. All teams should have at least one member from an university in India and all teams are encouraged to have at least one member from the university outside India.
- How many people can I have in my team?
You can form a team with any 3 other members; they can be from the same university or different universities.
- Will we get help? What happens if we get stuck?
Of course. You will have lots of support all the way. Even before the competition starts, you will have the opportunity to join a virtual onboarding session (look out for an email invite close to start date) where we will explain every detail about Anveshan and answer any question you may have. Once the program starts, you will have a mentor to guide your team as well as the opportunity to join several virtual tutorials or support sessions to clarify any issue. Finally, our team will be on hand to help you if you get stuck; all you need to do is to email us.
- I am close with or live with my teammates; do I have to interact on the platform? Can’t we discuss our ideas in real life?
Of course, you can share and discuss ideas offline. At the same time, we encourage you to log all your key ideas on the platform to get the most benefit. This will allow your mentors to see what you are working on and offer proper advice.
- Can I resubmit my project after submitting once?
Yes. You can resubmit your project anytime and as many times until the submission deadline. Your output will not be reviewed or evaluated by judges until the deadline has passed.
- Who will bear the expenses for attending the National Convention?
All the students will have to bear the respective travel expenses, but the host institution will provide all boarding and logging expenses for duration of national convention. Participants who are unable to join will have option to attend the event virtually.
- Where will the National Convention be held?
AIU is currently finalising the venue for national convention. Watch this space for more updates.
- What if I have more questions?
