Project Description

1. Objective:

- Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

2. Scope:

You will undertake an in-depth study to analyze the current state of your chosen city or community in terms of sustainability. You will address aspects such as energy consumption, waste generation and management, resource utilization, population density, transportation systems, and ecological footprint.

3. Approach:

  • Research:

    - Gathering relevant data on cities and communities, both quantitative and qualitative. This data will then be analyzed to determine the level of sustainability currently present in these areas.

    - Review case studies of 2-3 cities worldwide that have successfully implemented sustainable practices in their urban planning. This can provide inspiration and practical examples for other cities aiming to become more sustainable.

  • Analysis:

Define how your actions upon the environment more sustainable, e.g. carbon footprint, renewable energy utilization, public transport system efficiency, green spaces, etc.

  • Strategy Development:

    - Propose practical, feasible solutions for enhancing the sustainability of cities and communities.

    - Submit a poster or video that demonstrates your solution to the addressed issue.
