UniHack 2021
Mission
Hello and welcome to UniHack Tech!
UniHack Tech will focus on technical solutions and applications to addresses a clearly defined problem or opportunity. You will be required to develop analytical outputs (e.g. software code, game, etc.) that will be evaluated for commercial potential, patentability, innovativeness, and other relevant criteria.
You will go through a 48-hour program in Phase-1. The top 10-12 teams will be invited to join Phase-2 where you will be closely mentored to develop prototypes, through bi-weekly review sessions and skill-clinics.
PROBLEM STATEMENTS
These are the problem statements for UniHack Tech. Choose any one problem statement to work on and develop a solution for during the weekend:
1) Reduce environmental impacts using technology in both office and factory-based workplace.
-- This could be through improving recycling or reducing emissions.
-- This should work in both an office and factory.
2) Outline a technology to improve social interaction when working remotely.
-- This could augment current technologies such as Teams & Zoom but overcome the shortcomings of video calls.
-- Should be relevant to today's home working situation.
The submission deadline is Sunday, 26th September at 5PM BST. You will submit your work on the ProjectSet platform. Good luck!
